Offered for sale is an antique walnut trash can or recycle bin made from 1900 - 1920 by the Hamilton Manufacturing Co in Rahway, NJ. Serial # 9250-M22146 on metal plate as shown in photo. Measures H 24" x 12" x12. A collector told me these were used to recycle print items.

It is has a metal foot bar that attaches to a metal rod thru the bottom of the can. When engaged, the lid stays up. Next year is our 50th year in the antique business and we have never seen one of these before. This is truly an antique industrial item! With 16,000 sq ft, the Antique Attic is the largest privately owned antique shop in Alabama.
