Hamilton Page Letterpress Block Gothic Special Wood Type 2 inch Uppercase

  

130 piece lot of original wood letterpress blocks, Gothic Special font by both Hamilton of Two Rivers Wisconsin and Wm H Page of Greeneville Connecticut, set is complete and has many letters and numbers with multiples, 2 inches in height and vary in width, you can tell a slight variation in the two with some letters, the Page letter'A' has a smaller center than the Hamilton, so one would assume the'D's, P's, Q's, O's, R's etc that have smaller centers would be from the Page set but a bit more difficult with the others; therefore I have left them together, I have only gently washed the blocks to remove dirt. I have not verified their origin. If you are interested in early print blocks, please watch for additional auctions. Sizes range from 5 inch to 3/4 inch and I've seen names, Page, Hamilton and American. Return requests must be made 7 days after receipt of item.
