Brass was used for heat embossing as it hold up better than lead with heat. +/-232 pieces - upper case letters are about 4 mm (0.14 inch). (for size reference please see pictures) Please see also detailed picture, so you will see which characters are included (or not) in this set. We think, that this wonderful brass type set should date from around 1900. We have more brass type sets, also wonderful art nouveau fonts, for sale. Be sure, that a careful packaging will be done, so nothing will hurt this unique set on transport.
