Set of letterpress wood type characters. These really old wood type characters, which should probably date from around 1900, had a hard working life. This set makes a wonderful addition to any collection and would also be great for a museum. We have counted 350 pieces, we hope, that we did not make any mistake on counting, but you will see, what you get on the close-up photos. Each character measures 35 mm - 1.38 inch woodtype #182 and for those with descenders 45 mm - 1.77 inch. We have removed some dust, but did no full cleaning. As you will see on the photos, some metal characters have been added to the set. The characters were stored up to now in drawers. Please be sure, that a careful packaging will be done for the characters, so nothing will hurt the characters on transport.
