This amazing typeface dates amazing back to the early 1880s/1890s. Going through some type specimen books I was able to find it shown in the Inland Printer and it was being offered by Marder, Luse & Co. Type Founders (June 1889) But, the pin mark on the side of the type shows that this came from the Central Type Foundry. My limited knowledge on that foundry has me understanding that its operations were merged with ATF around 1892. If there are any bits of history or facts a type scholar would like to share with me about this, Id be happy to hear it. It is a pretty cool typeface that can have its style change radically, just by employing a few of the alternate characters. Letterpress Semi Gothic 24 Point.

The photos were taken with the type on a galley, that wont be included. This type will be packed with the greatest of care; standing and tied + the right amount of padding for safe travels.
