The seventh specimen book issued by this British letterpress operator, described as follows by the publishers in their preface: "Process Engraving and Chromotypography are daily becoming more extended in their application, and several fine specimens exhibiting recent developments will be found herein" - and indeed they are.

Of the book's fifty plates forty-five are printed in color and all feature graphics of one sort or another. Examples of the firm's work abound. Color leaps off seemingly every page, a most attractive specimen book.
