Tuscan Letterpress Wood Type Blocks 3-1/4 inch CAPS Punctuation

  

37 piece lot of original wood letterpress blocks, no hallmarks, set contains 29 letters and 8 punctuation marks, missing 8 letters, many letters have multiples as seen. One letter'I' appears to have a stamped 1 on the reverse, the'A' has a stamped A on reverse and the'P' has a paper stamped P on reverse, letters are 3-1/4 inches in height and vary in width, the semi colon and two commas are 3-3/4 inches in height.

I have only gently washed the blocks. I have not verified their origin. If you are interested in early print blocks, please watch for additional auctions. Sizes range from 5 inch to 3/4 inch and I've seen names, Page, Hamilton and American.
